Lac Du Bonnet, located 115 kilometres northeast of Winnipeg sits on the west shore of the Winnipeg River and at the western edge of the Canadian Shield. Here you will start to see the flat landscapes of the prairies slowly morph into rolling hills littered with forests and lakes and yes, rocks.
Reachable in only 90 minutes, the area surrounding Lac du Bonnet is the closest bouldering destination to Winnipeg with over 75 developed climbs and an abundance of undeveloped/undiscovered potential.
This spot is perfect for the weekends you can’t make it Jones or echo, but you want to get your outdoor climbing fix. You can head out there at 10 am and still be home that night at a decent time. Perfect for those Sunday funday sessions.
