Manzanita Wall is one of the closest crags to the parking lot. It is a decent height at just under 30m with some quality climbing. Most of the routes are moderate in difficulty so it is attractive for novices but accessing the lefthand part of the main wall requires scrambling up to an exposed belay ledge. There are handlines and single bolt bottom anchors in place but basically climbers need to be aware of how to secure themselves to get the most out of this crag.
The main wall is curved concave and split into two halves by a shallow gully. To the left side the rock is a little fractures in a few places, mainly on Taktition. The rock to the right is fine and very solid.
From the Chinese Mountains trailhead follow the signs for the Beech's Mountain trail. Just 2-4 minutes out of the parking lot a path runs off the main trail uphill. Follow this path up a mossy draw and out onto an open bluff. Hike partway up this pretty meadow and then traverse to the left (west) into a stand of trees (flagging higher up indicates the way to Leaning Tree Edge). Continue along the path which ascends a small talus slope and then trends left and up to the base of the wall.
Following the base trail off to the left (west) takes you to Keystone Crag. Traversing right (east) and then up into he trees takes you to Leaning Tree.
