Grillmair Chimneys – 5.6 (trad)
Description:
Reg Southwood climbed the Grillmair Chimneys in 1963 with Klaus Hann; Calgary Mountain Club Members. Klaus nailed metal name tags at the start of the Yamnuska Routes. May still be there. Big boots and felt alpine hats; the good old days!

2024-09-23If this isn't 5 star 5.6 I don't know what is. That last pitch. Sheesh....sooooo good. Kinda a bit of a takakkow falls vibe crawling through the hole. As of 2024. About half the stations were pitons, bolts or tat slinging blocks, half byo. Tracy and I are now proud co-owners of doubles ropes. Will have to get out more.
