Vancouver Island > Greater Victoria > Cordova Bay > Timber Lane Boulder

Description:

This new variation sit starts as for Cordova Bay Arete but the pedestal on the right may be used. Work your way directly up the arete and make a huge move up to the blocky pinch used on Timber Lane Right. Work your right hand as high as you can before launching for the jug pocket over the lip. Fun and powerful, didn't use the toehook or the pedestal. Thought I was doing Cordova bay arete but I learned after the fact that right hand in the slot = lanky and left hand = CBA. The more you know!

Super cool movement, I like this more than Cordova Bay Arete actually! With the toehook beta possibly on the easier side of 7, but it still took 4 or 5 sessions to dial the beta and string technical/precise moves together. Might try Nautical next; looks spooky though!

Not sure about the grade but felt easier than Cordova bay arete and I know the beta I used (toe hook/many right hand bumps) is likely easier than the original jump beta! Such a fun sequence with the double toe hooks though!!!

The jump is incredible, and the short sequence after to get to the lip is so good. Pinky is sure hurting from whiffing the jump on the first few attempts.
