Felt harder and took longer than The Lorax and Big Brother; felt hard for the grade. Top half wasn’t exactly my strongest style of climbing. Under rated climb, with some awesome sequences.

An almost two year project for me, involving three different injuries on different occasions! Two pulley injuries - one serious and one minor - and a farcical shoulder tweak caused by slipping on the ledge under the route. The climbing is a very cool combination of footless burl in the first half and more complex crimpier stuff higher up, with a sting in the tail and then a sting in the sting of the tail. No doubt there will be some sandbag grades offered by the usual folk but I am reasonably sure this will settle at .13 in the long run. Definitely harder than Mystery Woman or Asthmatic Seagull at the same cliff. The name is from the seminal essay of the same name by Bill Ramsey, the patron saint of ageing climbers. Google it.
