The Great Wall of Chinese Mountains is a group of crags and rock tiers wrapped around the west, south and east flanks of the Chinese Mountains South Peak.

The most direct way to reach the base of The Great Wall is by following the climbers' path that branches off the Beech's Mountain Trail just 150m west of the main Chinese Mountains parking area. Hike up the mossy gully and follow the path out onto an open, mossy bluff, meadow. The Great Wall can be seen above the trees. Keep hiking up the well-worn path and into the forest past Leaning Tree Edge and Black Crag. The path takes you straight to the base of Silk Road, the main buttress of the wall. Locate the crags and climbs relative to this prominent feature.
